Behavioral Observation Tool
Record behavioral observation sessions on your Android device
This app is a great convenience for psychologists, parents, or others doing behavioral observation / behavior analysis. Simply press the button corresponding to the behavior you observe to add one to its tally, or begin a timer to track its duration. Add additional columns to track multiple subjects, such as a control subject or group. Define your own categories, and save any number of settings to quickly switch between them.Use a timer to count down the length of the observation. Specify an interval for the app to vibrate or flash every time you should mark a tally. You set the total time and the interval length.Once complete, send, save or view the results in a .csv file that can be opened in Excel or any other spreadsheet or graphing program. You can also include a timestamped log of each button press. Between them you can track frequency, duration, and latency.If you find any bugs or would like to make any suggestions, please email [email protected]. Used to be my fav app, but I've lost the ability to export data, which for me defeats the purpose of the app. Don't know if the developer is still actively working on this app?
Great functionality for behavior analysts, teachers, psychologists - anyone who takes data, really!
Darn near perfect I love using this app for my school psych observations. The only feature that I wish for is to number each interval, so that I can see which number interval I'm on as im recording/ observing. So, as soon as you click start, that's interval #1.

Great app, I've used it for years. It's easy to customize, and the interval timer can either ring or vibrate- perfect for unobtrusive observations in the classroom.
I like the the concept but it fails to track for any duration over 30 minutes. If it had a timer that ran in background it would be five stars but this is simply meant for short durations of observation nothing more. Which is probably easier to to track with a spreadsheet. Not what I expected.
Great app but currently has an IO error when sending data via email on both my devices.
